June G. Carlton
June G. Carlton, 79, of Hancock, passed away Tuesday evening, April 14, 2009, at the Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 8, 1929, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Alvin and Flora (nee Bartram) Hedtke. She married Edsel A. "Stub" Carlton on April 23, 1949, in Hancock. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1993.
June was raised in the Hancock area and worked as a waitress at the former Lakeside Lodge in Hancock for 15 years and then at Two Lakes Supper Club-Almond for 29 years until her retirement. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Hancock. June was an avid bowler and she bowled for many years for Carlton’s Heaters and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. June’s greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Linda (Brian White) McGregor of Wisconsin Rapids and her children, Amy (Rick Kautz) Zimmerman and Rick’s son, Zack; Lori Zimmerman and her children, Destiny, Dre and Spencer; Robert (Garth) McGregor; Larry (Mary Jo) Carlton of West Bend, and their children, Kevin Carlton, Craig (Katie) Carlton and their daughter, Lauren; Kerianne (fiancˇ Tony Teofilo) Carlton; Lenny (Marcella) Carlton of Hancock, and their children, Corey (Nicole) Carlton and their daughter, Macey; Sheldon (Amy) Carlton and their children, Laney and Lexi; further survived by a niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield with the Rev. Yul Kwon officiating. Burial will be in the Hancock Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
