Marilyn Lee Scheid, 78

Marilyn Lee Scheid, nee Peters, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister of West Bend passed away peacefully on April 18, 2009 at the age of 78 at Kathy Hospice. While her body grew weak over the last year, her mind and spirit remained vibrant, a testament to her strength, determination and faith.

A daughter of the late Wil-bur and Alice Peters, Marilyn was born in Chicago on Oct. 18, 1930. She met the love of her life, Frank C. Scheid, when she was 15 years old, and they married on April 28, 1951.

A woman of Roman Catholic faith, she made her life's work raising her children and later sharing her time and wisdom with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and sister Dorothy Henneman, she is survived by eight children, Kathleen (Gregory) Burns, Mary (William) Bestor, Susan (James) Bricker, Thomas (Cindy) Scheid, Joanne Scheid, Theresa (Timothy) Bach, Peter (Theresa) Scheid and Paul Scheid; 17 grandchildren, Adam (Jenny), Sara (Paul), Michael, Steven, Christine, Kevin, Christopher, Amy, Laura, David, Caitlin, Janalee, Suzanne, Lauren, Billy, Made-lyn and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Noah.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Peters.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. The family will greet relatives and friends durin a period of visitation from 9 until 10:45 a.m.  Inturnment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
