Lambert L.
“Kliner” Boegel, 77, of King, formerly of West Bend, passed away
Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Kliner was born
on July 1, 1931, to Oscar and Lucy (nee Wietor) Boegel in the town of
Wayne. He was a local business owner in West Bend for many years and a
member of Fohl-Martin Post 483. He served his country as a proud member
of the Marines in Korea. An avid sports fan, he supported many local
sports teams including softball, baseball, golf and bowling. He served
as a secretary for the Washington County Tavern League as well as the
Tavern League of the State of Wisconsin. Kliner supported numerous
different charities both locally and nationally. Kliner is survived by his former spouse, Marlene Boegel; children, Shelley Stoffel, Lorrie (Brad) Shirley, Sherry Lentz, Brian (Caryn) and Amy Jo (Mark) Gassner. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Kyle and Wade Baier, Austin Shirley, Sean and Shannon Lentz, Emily Wuest, Hannah and Natalie Boegel and Bennett and Bronte Gassner; siblings Bill (Barb) Boegel, John (Rita) Boegel, Jim Boegel, Kathy Boegel, Mary Ann (Art) Luedtke, Rita Boegel, Lucy “Mitzi” (Tom) Bartelt, Joanie (Rob) Struebing, Margaret “Margie” (Lee) Meyer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman “Red,” and sister-in-law, Nancy. A funeral
service will be on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeffrey Haines officiating. Interment
of ashes will take place at King Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be
at the funeral home on Thursday, April 30, 2009, from 4 p.m. until time
of service. Memorials are appreciated. The Phillip
