Henry Louis Eifler
Norman Henry Louis Eifler, 90, of Cedarburg was reunited with his beloved wife on April 27, 2009.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1919, in Cedarburg to the late Oliver and the late Ella (nee Pergande) Eifler. Norman attended Cedarburg Schools and the Milwaukee School of Engineering and later served in the Navy during WWII. He worked as a dairy farmer, a welder and a local business owner who owned Eifler’s Country Store. Norman was a very giving person, he loved hunting and the outdoors.
Norman was married to Florence Julia (nee Behling) Eifler on Sept. 14, 1940 and their marriage was blessed with five children.
Norman is survived by his five loving children, Wendy (David) Stencel of Grafton, Nancy (Franz) Schubert of Waubeka, James (Sarah) of San Antonio, Texas, Ellen (Carl) Heilgendorf of Fredonia and Scott Eifler of Hartford; nine grandchildren, Jane, Jeffrey, Jill, Megan, James Jr., Norman, Mackenzie, Madisyn and Mikayla; three great-grandchildren, Julia, Johnathan and Jackalyn; and sister, Dr. Carol Craig of South Hadley, Mass. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Norman was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, and he was also a member of the Peter Wollner American Legion Post No. 288 in Cedarburg, as well as a member of the NRA.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, N60 W6047 Columbia Road, Cedarburg, with the Rev. Brent Halverson officiating. Interment will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. In state Wednesday at the church from 4 p.m. until time of service.
