Sharon Ann Matenaer

Sharon Ann (nee Prochnow) Matenaer, 63, of Cedarburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2009.

Sharon was born on April 5, 1946, to Anita (Kohlwey) and the late Albert Prochnow. Jim and Sharon married July 3, 1982, and together they raised Jesse and Jody. She was the owner of Share-Care Family Day care and touched many children’s lives. She was often seen throughout Cedarburg walking with children or riding her Harley. She was an active member of the Civic Riders along with the West Bend HOG Chapter, known as Mrs. 6. Numerous trips across the country were enjoyed with close friends and her husband, Jimmy 6-Pack.

Her spirit, strength and love will remain with us forever.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Jesse (Dawn) Seltrecht and Jody (Marco Lombera) Seltrect; and granddaughter, Isabelle. Her love for her future grandchild from China was close to her heart. Sharon was the sister of Elaine (Ralph) Gerner, Jerry (Arlene) Prochnow, Diane (Bill) Brandt, Glen (Linda) Prochnow, Dale (Carolyn Metzler) Prochnow, Annette (Tom) Miller, Warren (Holly) Prochnow, Carol (Mark) Viesselmann and Jeff (Julie) Prochnow; and sister-in-law of Frank (Ann) Matenaer and Theresa Matenaer. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Prochnow, and son, Jamie Seltrecht. Sharon is further survived by other relatives and treasured friend to many families.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Froedert Hospital MICU for the exceptional and compassionate care that they provided.

A memorial gathering will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 2881 Division Road, Jackson, on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service. Inurnment at the church cemetery at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009.
