Mabel Emily Kuhaupt

Mabel Emily Kuhaupt (nee Zimdars), 81, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at Cedar Lake Health and Rehab Center.

Mabel was born on Oct. 10, 1927, to Arthur and Louise (nee Unger) Zimdars at home in the town of Trenton. She married the late Clifton A. Kuhaupt on May 10, 1947. She was an avid quilter, loved to cook, enjoyed gardening and fishing. Mabel quilted at Pilgrim Lutheran Church of West Bend and the Samaritan Health Care Center.

Mabel is survived by her children, Bonnie (Virgil) Monday, Jerome (Irene) and Annette (John) Guttmann; devoted grandmother of Chris (Krystal) Monday, Stephanie (Mat) Yocum, John (Erienne) Guttmann, Amy (special friend Joe Lapinski) Guttmann and Jacob Guttmann; great-grandmother of Cayla, Cameren and Brooklyn. She is further survived by her brother, Raymond (Rosemary) Zimdars; sister-in-law, Marion Kuhaupt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Clifton; and son, David.

A funeral service will be on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at noon at Faith United Church of Christ, 2895 Slinger Road, with the Rev. Tom Launius officiating. Interment will follow the service at Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with an additional visitation on Friday, Aug. 7, at Faith United Church of Christ from 11 a.m. until time of service.
