Mildred Amanda Krebs

Mildred Amanda Krebs (nee Gutjahr), 88, passed away on Aug. 16, 2009, at Cedar Lake Health and Rehab Center.

Mildred was born on Jan. 7, 1921, in Allenton, to Edward and Amanda (nee Endlich) Gutjahr. On Aug. 5, 1944, Mildred married Daniel Joseph Krebs at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Mildred was a member of the Christian Women’s Society of St. Lawrence Church. She was a caring, tender loving mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family.

Mildred is survived by her children, Stephen Krebs of St. Lawrence, Adrian (Kathy) Krebs of St. Lawrence, Rosalyn "Rosie" (Alvin) Klemm of West Bend, the late Edward (Darlene) Krebs of the town of Wayne, Janet (Glenn) Frank of Slinger, David (Christine) Krebs of St. Lawrence and Alan (Janis) Krebs of Slinger. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her half sister, Joanne (Daniel) Dugenske of Antioch, Ill.; brother-in-law, Harold (Gertrude) Krebs; sisters-in-law, Bernice Krebs, Geraldine Krebs, Margaret Krebs, Helen Krebs, Annette Krebs and Loretta Noegel; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Daniel; brother, Glenn (Arlene) Gutjahr; sister, Beatrice (Julius) Kuhn.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mildred will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend from 2 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Interment will take place on Friday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m. at St. Lawrence Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to the Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center nursing staff for their loving care of their mother during her stay.
