Bernadette J. ‘Bonnie’ Morrissey Ferg, 94
A Mass of Christian burial will be held today, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grafton, for Bernadette J. “Bonnie” Morrissey Ferg of Grafton, who died on Nov. 20, 2009, at Lasata Care Center at the age of 94. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A private interment will take place at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Appleton.

Bonnie was born on Sept. 21, 1915, in Peoria, Ill., to William and Laura (nee Rothan) Schweitzer. She married Joseph Paul Morrissey on Nov. 11, 1937. After his death in 1960, Bonnie married Lawrence Ferg on Feb. 6, 1975, in Appleton.
Bonnie received her registered nurse degree from St. Frances School of Nursing in 1937. She worked as an industrial nurse at the Neenah Foundry for 14 years. Bonnie moved to Grafton in 1976 and had lived there until she moved to Cedarburg to live out her remaining years at Lasata Care Center.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Laurel Schweitzer, William (Mary) Morrissey, Kay Morrissey, Carol (Richard) Kaphingst, Martha Morrissey, Paula (Uli) Lerch and Patricia Haney; grandchildren, Stacy, Lisa, Jennie, Laurel, Melissa, Chris, Patti, Joe, William, Ryan, Caroline, Martha, Steve, Dave, Mark, Todd, Tiffany, Anthony, Courtney, Chad, Shawn and Chris; 34 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands and her sisters, Lavern (Robert) Bartholomew and Marion (Stewart) Becker.
