Patricia ‘Pat’ Chapman, 74

Patricia “Pat” Chapman (nee Ryan) died at home Nov. 28, 2009, at the age of 74 surrounded by family in God’s loving arms.

Pat was the beloved wife and best friend of Robert M. Chapman for 56 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barb Neeb. Pat was the loving mom of Mary Kay Chapman, Laurie (Tom) Wamser, Robert R.

(Deb) Chapman, Jeanne (Tom) Paprocki, Daniel (Mary Beth) Chapman and “adopted” daughter Susan Ringwood. She was the best grandma to John, Kelly, SSgt. Paul Neeb, USMC, Jessica, Eric, Kristin, Nikolette, Aaron, Sarah, Amy, Scott, Mary and Brittany; and great-grandma of Ryan, Cameron, Dominic, Brendan, Cade, Allie, Jordan and Samuel. Pat was the treasured sister of Rosie (Bill) Schwister; sister-in-law of George (Sandy), Shirl, Don (Eileen) and Marie. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pat was born in Thiensville and she and Bob moved to Mequon in 1960

and to Cedarburg in 1988. She was a former member of Lumen Christi- Mequon and in early years was a physical education teacher at St.

James grade school. Her nursing career brought her to many nursing homes, including the Mequon Care Center. Family was very important to her; she loved spending time with Bob in their gazebo, going to all the  children and grandchildren’s sporting events and baking and cooking for the family. She loved to read and enjoy the beautiful flowers in  their yard. She was also a league bowler for many years and had a great time socializing.

Vacations were very special to Pat and more so when family members came along. Pat was a friend to everybody, she taught many to love life without regrets. Her love for music as well as whistling was passed on to her children. She will be greatly missed.

Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
