Mary A. Dreher-Lecher, 72
Mary A. Dreher-Lecher, 72, of West Bend, passed
away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1937, in the town of
Farm-ington, the daughter of the late John and Agatha (Wiedmeyer) Breit.
On June 23, 1956, she married Merlin "Red" Dreher and later
married John Lecher on March 17, 1984. John preceded Mary in death on
March 20, 1996.
Mary was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church
in West Bend. She was employed by Kohl’s in West Bend for 30 years and
also known for the many years she waitressed at Angelo’s Hut and Dot’s
Club. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and served as the Vice
Queen of the Kewaskum Chapter. Mary served as president of the Bridgewood
Condo Association and volunteered at the Beechwood Rest Home helping
residents with social activities.
She enjoyed classic country music, especially
artists Alan Jackson and Danny O’Donnelle, playing sheephead, camping,
cooking, canning, flower gardening, going to theater productions,
attending school plays and spending time with her family.
Those Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory
include five children, Linda (Michael) Enright of Kewaskum, Michael (Dawn)
Dreher of Wabeno, Carole Neitzel (special friend, Scott Roou) of
Rhinelander, Randall (Wen-di) Dreher of Kewaskum and Shelly Lewis of
Mayville; three brothers, Richard (Judy) Breit and Roger (Sharon) Breit
both of West Bend and Dan (Debbie) Breit of Plymouth; three sisters,
Dorothy Dyken of West Bend, Sandy Hansen of Kewaskum and Rosey Phoenix; 11
grandchildren, Corey (special friend, Angel), Jason (special friend, Jen),
Brian "BJ", Jessica (Tony), Charlie, Danielle, Kasey (special
friend, Josh), Cyle, Megan, Matt and Logan; three great-grandchildren,
Ranen, Madison, Abigail and a fourth great-grandchild due July 7, 2010,
other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mary
was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Fellenz and Joanne Kofler; an
infant brother, John and a brother-in-law, Richard Dyken.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mary will be held
at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in
West Bend. Father Gerry Brittain will officiate and cremation will follow.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on
Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass.
