Marie M. Sacho, 86
 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held today, Dec. 15, 2009, at noon at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for Marie M. Sacho (nee Schaeffer), 86, of Grafton, who passed away Dec. 9, 2009. Visitation will take place at the church today from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon.

Memorials to St. Joseph’s School Endowment Fund, 1210 16th Ave., Grafton, WI 53024 are appreciated.

Marie was born in Milwaukee on July 22, 1923, to Anton and Magdelina (nee Hartjung) Schaeffer, who both preceded her in death. She later married Emory R. Sacho on Aug. 21, 1948, at Christ King Catholic Church in Wauwatosa. Their marriage was blessed with three children.

Marie worked at the Grafton Woolen Mills for 10 years. She was a volunteer at Lasata Care Center from 1983, following her mother’s death, until Emory’s death in 2005. Marie loved to knit and crochet.

Marie is survived by her children, Daniel (Maureen) Sacho of Germantown, Joel (Chueh) Sacho of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Lori (Gary) Andersen of Oregon, Wis.; grandchildren, Christopher (fiancée Jenny) Sacho of Germantown, Adam (Megan) Sacho of Illinois, Kari Andersen of Oregon, and Bradley Andersen of Oregon; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Thomsen, Phyllis Gore and Gwen Moreash; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emory, in 2005.
