Alice A. Zemlicka, 100
Alice A. Zemlicka, nee Cook, 100, passed away on
Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center
in West Bend.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1909, in Grygla, Minn.,
to the late Charles and Annie (nee Olson) Cook. On May 25, 1936, Alice was
united in marriage to Merral Zemlicka. Merral preceded her in death on May
22, 1994.
Alice was a member of the Order of the Eastern
Star in West Bend, Daughters of the Nile and Immanuel United Church of
Christ.
She is survived by two children, Roger (Lynn)
Zemlicka of Bella Vista, Ariz., and Catherine (Dennis) Stopen of Gowanda,
N.Y.; six grandchildren, David (Atamica) Zemlicka, Cheryl (Walter)
Landvatter, Kerry Zemlicka, Todd (Debbie) Stopen, Trina Stopen, and
Kirstin Stopen; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;
many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents,
husband and two sisters, Mildred Miller and Ethel Ward.
Funeral services in remembrance of Alice will be
held on Monday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315
W. Washington St., West Bend with Rev. Rich Vincent officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from noon until the time
of the services. Entombment will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 10
a.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Memorials to Cedar Lake Health Care Center,
Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Immanuel U.C.C. are appreciated by
the family.
