Wayne Harlan Zentner, 59

Wayne Harlan Zentner, 59, of Slinger, entered into eternal peace on Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at Aurora Sinai Medical Center.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1950, in Oshkosh to Harlan W. and Arlene (nee Hackbarth) Zentner. After school, he attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. On Nov. 24, 1990, he was united in marriage to Carol C. Lenhardt (nee Weber). Wayne was a dedicated employee of Bergstrom Chevrolet in Milwaukee, and was a member of the Kettle Moraine Klassic Kar Klub and the Ozaukee County Corvette Club. He was also a member of Future Farmers of America. Wayne devoted his time as a Christian at the Million Man March in Washington, D.C., with the Menís Christian Group GAP, and at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Hubertus, where he often served as an usher.

Wayne is the beloved husband of Carol C. Zentner (nee Weber); the loving father of Cassandra "Casey" (Chad) Wohlt, Kelly (fiance, Quentin) Zentner; stepsons, Jeramie and Darrick (Laura) Lenhardt; the proud grandpa of Caitlin and Celia Wohlt, Paige Lenhardt and Lexina Lenhardt; the dear son of Arlene Zentner; a brother of Roger (Joan) Zentner and Linda (Mike) Reinke; brother-in-law of Judy Weber, Gertie Weber, Janet Sell, Marion (Tom) Stapleton, Dona (Bill) McGrath, Roger (Carol) Weber, Sue (Mike) Siewert and Sharon (fiance, Dan Rehlinger). He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan; his father-in-law, Roger Weber; motherin-law, Helen Weber; and brothers-in-law, Frank Weber, Jeff Bertz and Dan Rehlinger.

A memorial service in honor of Wayne will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at 6 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1350 Highway 175, Hubertus, with the Rev. Jay Thorson officiating. Visitation with family and friends will also be held on Wednesday at the church only from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. Cremation, Paradise Cremation Services.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
