Joel F. McCulloch, 67

Joel F. McCulloch of Grafton passed away on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa. He was 67 years old.
Joel was born in Freeport, Ill., on Oct. 13, 1942, son of E.G. and Mildred Boedeker McCulloch. He attended school in Freeport, graduating from Freeport High School in 1960. After high school he attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, graduating with a bachelorís degree.  On June 18, 1966 he married Kaye Hendren at First Presbyterian Church in Freeport.
Joel worked as an environmental engineer for Miller Brewing Co. for over 25 years, retiring in 2002.  He was a member of the Water Pollution Control Federation and enjoyed automobile racing, traveling, yard work and socializing with his family and friends.

Joel is survived by his wife, Kaye of Grafton; daughters, Crista (Dean) Larsen of Cedar Grove and Kimberly McCulloch of Cedarburg. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Sophia and Jacob Larsen of Cedar Grove; his in-laws, John and Nettie Hendren of Freeport, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Larry) Teller of Oak Creek and  Marcia McCulloch of San Diego; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends, and his dog, Max.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, King McCulloch.
Services were held at the Eernisse Funeral Home on Tuesday Dec. 22. A memorial service will also be held at Walker Mortuary in Freeport, Ill., on Jan. 16, 2010, at 1 p.m.  A visitation will take place at Walkerís from noon to 1 p.m.
