Dorothy L. Gasner, 81

Dorothy L. Gasner (nee Donath), 81, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center in Sheboygan.

She was born Jan. 9, 1928, on the family homestead farm in the town of Farmington to the late Clarence and Linda (nee Hansmann) Donath. On April 26, 1947, Dorothy was united in marriage to Frank Gasner at St. Martinís United Church of Christ in Fillmore. Frank preceded her in death on May 3, 1980.

Dorothy worked at Amity and then as a clerk at Ben Franklin for 20 years until she retired in 1988. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and St. Martinís U.C.C. in Fillmore.

Dorothy is survived by her four children, Linda (Elmer) Miller of Random Lake, William (Judith) Gasner of West Bend, Joan (Howard) Brecke of Saukville and Frank (Connie) Gasner of Kewaskum; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Mildred (John) Lang of West Bend; her sisterin-law, Mildred Donath of the town of Farmington; one brother-in-law, Steve Rossman of West Bend; many other relatives and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; her brother, Orin Donath; and one brotherin-law, Joseph Rossman.

Funeral services in remembrance of Dorothy will be held on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. The Rev. Donald Ellerman of St. Peterís United Church of Christ in Saukville will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will follow at Fillmore Union Cemetery in Fillmore.

Memorials in Dorothyís name to the Wisconsin Eye Institute or the American Heart Association are appreciated by the family.
