Edna M. Kirsch, 94

Edna M. Kirsch (nee Schulz), 94, of Slinger, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Bend.

Edna was born Aug. 31, 1915, in the town of Addison to Herman and Josephine (nee Benkler) Schulz. She was united in marriage to Clement Kirsch on Nov. 23, 1938.

Edna was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger. She lived most of her life in St. Lawrence. Edna enjoyed reading, shopping, had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to tell and play practical jokes. She was a dedicated, loving mother and grandmother.

Edna is survived by her children, Carol (Werner) Wolf of Hartford, Donald (Sue) Kirsch and Grace (Dick) Heesen; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Kirsch, all of Slinger; 18 grandchildren, Perry (Debbie) Wolf, Karen (Jim) Klink, Bill (Diane) Wolf, Kathy (Jim) Gullickson, Kris (Bill) Schoenecker, Kelly (Donnie) Kocan, Connie Kirsch, Candi Kirsch, Jeff (Noelle) Kirsch, Amanda Kirsch, Joseph Kirsch, Krysten Kirsch, Jim Jr. (Donna) Kirsch, Angie (Al) Gehring, Mike (Jenni) Kirsch, Troy Heesen, Wendy (Wes) DuBois and Heather (Ben) Rettler of Slinger; 27 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Alvina Koenings of Kewaskum and Elsie Riley of Hartford; and her brother-in-law, Tony (Esther) Kirsch of St. Lawrence. Edna is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement; her parents; her son, Jim Kirsch; her granddaughter, Michelle Kirsch; sisters, Julia (Nick) Gundrum and Lillian (Ray) Klinger; brother, Alvin Schulz; brothers-in-law, Norbert (Frances) Kirsch and Herbert (Luella) Kirsch; sister-in-law, Leona (Eugene) Beine.

Mass of Christian burial for Edna will be on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at 7 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 200 E. Washington St., Slinger, with the Rev. Rick Stoffel officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church. Interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery in St. Lawrence.
