Barbara J. Hickcox

Barbara J. Hickcox, 71, of Grafton and a snowbird in The Villages, Fla., died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009.

She was born in Milwaukee to Charles and Dorothy (nee Nast) Radmann. Barbara was married to Frank Hickcox for 33 years. She is survived by her son, Luke (Nicole) Hickcox of Roscoe, Ill.; daughters Janet (Roger) Ohlemacher of Cape Coral, Fla., Leslie (Joseph) Theys of Stoughton, Laurie (Paul) Bransted of Grafton, Alicia Bowman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister Claudia (Casper) Enea of Menomonee Falls; sisters-in-law Carol Meuer and Diana Radmann; grandchildren (14); great-grandchildren (14); and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Barbara was proceeded in death by her parents and husband.

She received a Masterís Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and was a speech pathologist with the Port Washington School District until her retirement. Barbara enjoyed playing golf, bridge, traveling, scrapbooking and most of all spending time with family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 303 Green Bay Road, Thiensville. A reception will be held immediately after the memorial service.

Memorials will be distributed to various charities of Barbaraís interests.
