Ruth M. Yoost

Mrs. Ruth M. Yoost, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Hearthside in Sister Bay the morning of Jan. 31, 2009.

Ruth loved to visit Door County whenever she could, and while living there for the last two years, she attended St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Juddville, served by her ex-son-in-law, Pastor Michael Brecke, who looked after her in her last years.

She is predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Clarence W. Yoost in 1977 and her only brother, Karl Kocher of West Bend who passed away in April.

She leaves a daughter, Ann Yoost Brecke of Boston, two grandchildren, Anna of Boston and Matthew of Ellison Bay. She is also survived by her only sister, Mrs. Bernice Potter, and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine Kocher, both of West Bend; her nieces, Mrs. Judy Buddenhagen of West Bend and Mrs. Kathy Shipman of Allen, Texas; her two nephews, Mr. Tom Potter and Mr. Jim Yoost, both of West Bend; and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a life-time employee of B. C. Ziegler Co. as well as a life-long member of St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend and a volunteer at the Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown.

A graveside service will be held in the Spring at Union Cemetery in West Bend at a time to be decided later. Memorials may be sent to: Unity Hospice, 2366 Oak Ridge Circle, De Pere, Wisconsin 54115.
