Nancy E. Laubenheimer

Nancy E. Laubenheimer (nee Lueck) of the Town of Erin died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Virginia Highland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Germantown at the age of 62 years. She was born on June 25, 1946, in Milwaukee to the late Reno and Gladys (nee Heup) Lueck. As a young child, she lived in Brookfield.

In the mid 1950s her family moved to Hartford, where she attended local schools, graduating from Hartford Union High School in 1964.

On August 18, 1972, she was united in marriage to Luke M. Laubenheimer at St. Jacobi Church in Richfield. Luke predeceased Aug. 24, 2001.

For over 45 years, she was employed as a bookkeeper at Badger Meter in Brown Deer.

Nancy had a life-long love of horses. She enjoyed being an owner of horses, as well as her dobermans, including Red. She also had a fondness for Alaska, taking many trips to the state.

Survivors include three step-children Millard (Donna) of Ventnor, N.J., Keith of Norwich, Conn. and Patricia Mudlaff of Adell; eight step-grandchildren Joshua, Gabriella and Nicole Laubenheimer, Christopher Laubenheimer, Justin, Nicholas, Jon Jr. and Christopher Mudlaff; a sister Barbara (David) Nigh of St. Cloud, Fla.; a cousin Diane (Dennis) Kulpa of Milwaukee; a uncle Howard Heup of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother Richard Lueck.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13 at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with burial following in Forest Home Cemetery in the Town of Richfield. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
