Ralph R. "Butch" Buddenhagen
Ralph R. "Butch" Buddenhagen, 58, of West Bend, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at St. Lukes Medical Center.
Ralph was born on Sept. 1, 1950, to Ralph and Anna (nee Van Beek) Buddenhagen Sr. in West Bend. He was a graduate of West Bend High School, class of 1968. He married Antonia "Toni" (nee Key) on Sept. 8, 1973, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Kewaskum. Ralph was employed at the Gehl Company, retiring after 37 years. Currently, he was a groundskeeper at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend. Ralph was a skilled craftsman in antiquing and refinishing wood and working with any wood.
Ralph will be missed by his wife Toni of West Bend, his sisters Mary Kreutzer of West Bend and Carol (Wayne) Heisler Sr. of West Bend. He is further survived by sisters-in-law Kathy Griepentrog of West Bend, Mary (Paul) Beduhn of Little Chute, Victoria (Bruce) Towell of Kewaskum, brothers-in-law Fr. Bill Key of Waukesha, Joseph Key of Oregon, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Griepentrog, parents-in-law and great nephew Zachary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (front entrance), 406 Jefferson St., West Bend, with the Rev. Mike Moran officiating. Interment will follow the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church only from 10 a.m. untit the time of Mass on Saturday, Feb. 14.
