Rose E. Kleinhans
Rose E. Kleinhans (nee Zettel) of West Bend died on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at Kathy Hospice at the age of 87. She was born on June 29, 1921, in West Bend to the late Fred and Barbara (nee Vogel) Zettel.
She attended the former Barton Graded Education School and St. Maryís Grade School. In 1938, she graduated from West Bend High School.
On Nov. 19, 1946, she was united in marriage to Sylverius C. Kleinhans at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Sylverius predeceased her on Oct. 8, 1980.
For 10 years, she worked in the office at Amity Leather Products. She later worked with her husband in the business of refrigerator sales and service until the time of her husbandís death. Together, they has earned many vacation trips through Carrier Equipment. Their travels took them to many places, including Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Mexico, Jamaica, France, Portugal, Spain and Africa.
She was a member of the Women Of The Moose West Bend Chapter No. 732, the Christian Mothers and the Womenís Auxillary of VFW.
Survivors include a son Donald of Neshkoro; six grandchildren: Thomas (special friend Susan) of Pearson, John of West Bend, Sue (Ed) Mattox of West Bend, Mary (Paul) Theis of Marinette, Kay (Larry) Schoep of West Bend and Scott (special friend Jessica) of Neshkoro; four great-grandchildren: Travis (special friend Lucy), Jeanette (special friend Mark), Andrea Schoep and Cameron Schoep; a sister-in-law, Muriel Zettel of Jackson; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Jane Kleinhans and three brothers Joseph, Daniel (Emma) and John Zettel.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial following in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church only on Monday from noon until 1:45 p.m.
