Anita M. Hemauer

Anita M. Hemauer (nee Zahringer) died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend.

She was born September 10, 1916 in Sherwood to the late Nicholas and Amelia (nee Puetz) Zahringer and married Alfred F. Hemauer on Sept. 4, 1939 in Sherwood. Alfred preceded her in death on April 12, 1984.

Anita is survived by her sons: Donald (Gloria), Kenneth (Rosann), Richard (Margaret), William (Suzanne), Alan (Carol), Thomas and John (Jody), and her daughter Jane (Richard) La Buda. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Kenneth (Kelly) Hemauer, Kristin (Patrick) Michaelson, Jennifer (Keith) Wiskirchen, Christopher (Jennifer) Hemauer, Kelly (fiancˇ Josh Murray) La Buda, Steven Hemauer, Robert Hemauer, Brian (Laiza) Hemauer, Kyle Hemauer, Mark (Elissa) Hemauer, Kevin Hemauer, Kathleen Hemauer, Hannah Hemauer, John Hemauer, Sofia Hemauer and Gianna Hemauer. Anita is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Rebecca, Michael, Sarah, Anna and Will Hemauer, James and Julia Michaelson, and Connor, Abigail and Nolan Wiskirchen, her sister Inez (Arthur) Campbell, her brothers: Clarence and Irvin Zahringer, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Katherine Zahringer, Arthur Hemauer, Mabel Cooper, Clarence (Betty) Hemauer, William Goeser, Doris (Sylvester) Zahringer, Rose (Robert) Parsons and John (Jean) Hemauer and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Frank Hemauer, her parents, Nicholas and Amelia Zahringer, her sisters, Ann Zahringer and Rose Hemauer, her brothers Leo, Walter and Roman Zahringer and other relatives.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Haines presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church only from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church or Kathy Hospice are appreciated.

Anita’s family would like to thank Drs. Mian, Jahnke and Herdrich for the care given to our mother. Also we would like to thank the staff of I.C.U. and the third floor staff at Aurora Medical Center Washington County in Hartford as well as the gentle and caring staff of Kathy Hospice in the Town of Polk.

Mom was a warm and loving person who cared about everyone. She practiced her faith daily and could be counted on for needed prayers.
