Wilfred B. Knuth

Wilfred B. Knuth of West Bend passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Cedar Springs in Cedarburg at the age of 95. He was born on May 15, 1913, to the late Louis and Elsie (nee Frenz) Knuth. Wilfred married Ruth M. (nee Ernst) on Dec. 28, 1940, in Freistadt.

Wilfred was a member of the Freistadt Band of Mequon and also of the Cedarburg band. He enjoyed farming, gardening and raising bees. Wilfred drove for Central Ready Mix for 16 years.

He is Survived by his wife Ruth, four children; Henry (Shirley) of Horicon, Martin (Barbara) of West Bend, Marlene (William) Poellot of Randoph and Marilyn (Roger) Kaschner of West Bend; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters Irene (Walter) Reggio and Irmgard Pipkorn; brothers George (Marlene) and Arnold (Gertrude) Knuth.

He was preceded in death by a son Donald Knuth, two sisters Lonie Waechter and Anita Radue, brother in-laws Elmer Waechter, Walter Reggio, Walter Radue and Martin Pipkorn.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 1268 Pleasant Valley Road, West Bend, with Pastor James Korthals officiating with burial to follow at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church only from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Feb. 17.
