Rosemary A. Merkt
Rosemary A. Merkt, 71, of Valders, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Rosemary was born March 12, 1937, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (nee Wilger) Dabringer. She was a graduate of West Bend High School. On Dec. 11, 1965, she married David Merkt Sr. in West Bend.
Survivors include her husband, David Merkt of Valders; three daughters and one son-in-law: Susan Merkt of Ripon, Debra and Mark Olson of Campbellsport, Sandra Merkt of St. Nazianz; four sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Brenda Merkt of Campbellsport; Gerald and Barb Merkt of Campbellsport; Robert and Linda Merkt of West Bend; David Jr. and Diane Merkt of St. Nazianz; 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister-in-law: Robert Dabringer of Brownsville; Leroy and Roseanne Dabringer of Phelps; and Richard Dabringer of Germantown. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one grandson: James Clark and one sister-in-law: Viola Dabringer.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian burial will be the Rev. Jim Jaeger. Rosemary will be laid to rest at the church cemetery following cremation.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, at St. Gregory Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center of Valders is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
