Eldora Sanders (nee Myrt), 76, of Bloomington, Minn., died on Sunday Feb. 8, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a West Bend resident from 1974 to 1995.
Eldora was a talented gardener, an active volunteer at St. Edward’s Church and an avid bridge player, treasuring all her wonderful friends there. She leaves behind a vast legacy of kindness and love, and was an inspiration to many. Eldora is survived by her loving husband, Gordon; her children, Mike (Cindy) Sanders, Carol (David) Hall and Greg (Amy) Sanders; nine grandchildren and sister, Irene Westphal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a brother-in- law.
Memorial Mass, officiated by the Rev. Mike Tegeder, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 9401 Nesbitt Ave., Bloomington. Visitation was held at 10 a.m. Interment was Saturday, Feb. 14 at St. Clotilde’s Cemetery in Green Valley, Minn. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to St. Edward’s is appreciated.
