Lynda Lee Kohls-Daly
Lynda Lee Kohls-Daly, 56, passed on to eternal life on Jan. 17, 2009, after her long battle with mesothelioma. Lynda grew up in Germantown, graduating from Germantown High School in 1970.
In 1973, she married Michael Daly, Sr. She gave birth to their son Michael Daly, Jr. a short time later.
Lynda worked at Stocker Ford and Royal Ford. She also worked in real estate. Later, she owned "Cheese & Crafters" in Westfair Mall. In 1998, she and her husband moved to Florida to enjoy the warmer weather and their retirement.
While living in Florida, she worked as an administrative assistant for a cruise line. Her creative nature helped her to win awards for "Boat Parade" decorations.
In 2007, she was diagnosed with mesothelioma. As most people pass away within 12 months of being diagnosed, Lynda fought hard for her life and for her family.
She will be greatly missed every day by her loving husband Mike, Sr.; their son Mike, Jr.; daughter-in-law Danielle Daly; her mother Marlene Kohls; four sisters Julie Slais, Mari Jo (Tom) Peters, Karen (Floyd) Guenther and Lori (Rick) Stone; two brothers Scott (Candy) Kohls and Mark (Karen) Kohls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Kohls, a sister, Lynn Alice Kohls, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend from 2 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Inurnment will be at Washington County Memorial Park at a later date.
