Patricia I. Reed

Patricia I. Reed (nee Brandt), 75, of Polk City, Fla., formerly of Hubertus, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at Community Memorial Hospital.

Patricia was born on Oct. 31, 1933, in Lewistown, Mont., and was raised there until the age of 13 when her mother Luella Bertram married William Tegge, who moved them to Milwaukee. Patricia graduated from Rufus King High School, class of 1951. In 1953, she was a USO hostess with the Cudworth Legion Post. There she met Jim Reed and soon after they were married. They lived in Milwaukee with their children until 1972 when they moved to Hubertus. Patricia worked as a senior programmer and analyst for C.P.U. and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. In 1995, they both retired, sold their home and moved to Polk City. They enjoyed traveling all over North America and visiting their children and grandchildren as often as possible.

Patricia is survived by her husband Jim; children Carol (Jay) Leasum, Linda (Glenn) Hedrick, David (Robin) and Helen (William) Lentz. She if further survived by nine grandchildren: Rachel (Joshua) Reed, David Reed Jr., Michelle (Matt) Selsing, Richard Hedrick, James (Lisa) Leasum, Timothy Hedrick, William Lentz, Brian Lentz and Elizabeth Lentz; two step-grandchildren: Luke (Kim) Daley and Sean (Holly) Dale; nine great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, step-aunt Lucille Tegge, step-cousins William Tegge, John Tegge and Lola Botcher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, George Brandt; mother, Luella Tegge, and step-father William Tegge.

Private services were held.
