George "Dutch" Sekas

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, for George "Dutch" Sekas, who passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the Lasata Care Center. He was 91. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral Mass at the church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Father Tom Eichenberger will officiate the funeral Mass.

Dutch was born on May 2, 1917, in Cedarburg to the late John Sekas and the late Anna Kopac Sekas. He later married Maxine Roth on Sept. 10, 1949. Their marriage was blessed with five children.

Dutch worked at Kiekhaefer/Mercury Marine for 42 years as a tool maker.

Dutch is survived by his loving wife, Maxine, of Grafton; children, Dianne (Dave Watkins) Sekas of Ocean Shores, Wash., Beverly Sekas of Fredericksburg, Va., Debra Kobiske of Grafton, David Sekas of Grafton, and Barbara Sekas of Cedarburg; grandchildren, Amanda Kobiske and Jennifer Kratsch, and brother, William Sekas. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Dutch was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Kobiske, six sisters, and two brothers.
