Allen G. Blank
Allen G. Blank, 75, of the town of Addison, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009.
Allen was born Nov. 23, 1933, in the town of Addison to Anita (nee Retzlaff) Roemer.
In his early years Allen was a milk hauler, owning his own milk route. He continued working his farm as he was employed on May 28, 1968, with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department reaching sergeant status. He retired from the Washington County Highway Department on January 28, 1998. Following his retirement, he had an interest in antique trucks and tractors. He served on the Slinger school board for 27 years, and was the Slinger School Board representative for CESA-6 for 12 years. Allen valued education and dedicated his time to it. He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 30 years.
He is survived by his three loving daughters, Sandra (the late David) Wunder of Chester, Va., Ginger (Lyle) Lisko of Hartford, and Rene (Brian) Laubenstein of West Bend; two grandchildren, Chad and Jared Lisko; one brother Ervin Roemer, Jr.; and a cousin, Delmer (Jerilynn) Scherger. Allen is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother and his former wife, Betty Rae Blank.
Funeral services for Allen will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger, with the Rev. James Castillo officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the church.
Interment at Union Cemetery, Slinger at 10 a.m. Monday, March 2.
