George A. Schickert, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009.

He was the dear husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Stuettgen), loving father of Andy (Sue), Bill (Toby), Jim (Cindi) and John (Lonna), proud grandfather of Whitney, Katelyn, Cassandra, Zach and Joshua, and brother of Cecilia Frigge and Viola (Leander) Schmitt. He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew and sister Marie. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services, N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls, on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Parish, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus. Burial to follow at St. Hubert’s Church Cemetery.
