Gary Glenn Adams

Gary Glenn Adams of Grafton passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at the age of 56 after a courageous battle of more than six years against multiple myeloma. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Community United Methodist Church, W68 N563 Evergreen Boulevard in Cedarburg. There will be a time of gathering at the church on Thursday, from 4 p.m. until time of the service. The Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton is serving the family.

Gary began working at We Energies as a lineman on Sept. 10, 1970. Throughout his career, he became an electrician, construction supervisor, power systems supervisor and finally a power trader. He was devoted to his job and so enjoyed spending time with his co-workers. During his struggle with cancer, his work family could not have been more supportive.

Gary was cherished always by his wife of 36 years, Jan; and his children, James (Deanna) Sasaki-Adams, Melissa and Jarod (Shelly). Gary was the proudest grandpa to Ella; the beloved son of Geraldine and Merle Adams; most loved brother to Tony (Colleen), Tom (Jessi), Susan and Sherri (Jim) West; loving uncle to Tom Jr., Jason (Trang), Lori, Matthew (Marie), Kristine, Valentina West and Jeremy West; and the grand-uncle to Noah and Brooke. Gary is further survived by other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Parameswaran Hari and all the other doctors and nurses at Froedtert Hospital and clinics. Special thanks to hospital nurse Becky Martin and clinic nurse Mary Bohn. Gary could not have received better care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Froedtert Hospital or the charity of your choice are appreciated.
