Gertrudt Sessions (Gerlach), 70

Gertrudt Sessions (Gerlach), 70, of West Bend, formerly of Lemoore, Calif., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation.

Gertrudt was born on May 28, 1938, in Frankfurt, Germany. Her loving parents were Carl and Freida (Gunzler) Gerlach of Frankfurt, Germany.

Gertrudt married the love of her life, Earl, on Sept. 12, 1963, in West Germany.

She was a world traveler, yet her favorite time was as a homemaker to Earl and Angela, her daughter.

Gertrudt was an avid craft enthusiast, loved flea markets, feeding wild animals and going to the beach, but most of all she was a devoted homemaker and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Gertrudt will be missed by her husband, Earl; daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Angela and Eric Breckenridge of West Bend.

Gertrudt is further survived by her dear grandchildren, Nathan and Emily Breckenridge; sister Erika Paparaphiou and son-in-law Pan; niece, Jessica; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 6 p.m., Monday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. Eighth Ave., West Bend, with Fr. Rick Wendell officiating.

Visitation will be at the church only on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of Mass, 6 p.m.

Memorials to the Washington County Humane Society or Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center are appreciated.
