Patrick P. Wagner
Patrick P. Wagner, 43, of Hartford, went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, June 28, 2009, after a biking accident.
Pat was born July 8, 1965, in Hartford to Darnell and Mary (nee Dietenberger) Wagner. He was united in marriage to Diann Martin on May 6, 1989, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford.
Pat is a NAR member, has been a 4-H rocketry leader for four years and is co-leader of the Washington County 4-H Rocketry program. His interest in rocketry started in sixth grade as a youth and started again through his involvement as an adult leader in the 4-H program. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, archery, biking and he also loved woodworking. Pat loved traveling and seeing new places. He was a manager in the Delivery of Excellence and Quality (DEQ) division of the IT department at Northwestern Mutual.
Pat loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his love of Christmas music. His family had to restrict his listening to his favorite songs from after Thanksgiving to New Years Day then put away until next Thanksgiving.
Pat is survived by his wife Diann; his children Katlin, Ellen and Renee; his parents Darnell and Mary Wagner of Hartford; his parents-in-law John and Anna Martin of Hartford; a brother, Michael (Barb) Wagner of Colorado; a brother-in-law, Thomas (Mary) Martin of Hartford; special nephews, Jonathan, Daniel and Joel; a sister-in-law Loretta Martin of Illinois; a nephew, Trenten Schairer; a niece, Adrianne Schairer; special cousins, Angie (Brett) Berger and Jenny Cook. Pat is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and Aunt Bev.
Funeral services for Pat will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4860 Arthur Road, Slinger, with the Rev. Matthew Short officiating. Visitation will be at the church only on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
A private Inurnment will be on Saturday morning at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
