Lambert "Lambie" Ziegelbauer of Slinger passed away peacefully Friday, July 10, 2009 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend. He was 84 years old.
Lambie was born in St. Lawrence on August 7, 1924. He married Mary Ann Horst on Oct. 19, 1946, at St Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford.
Lambie grew up on the family farm. He loved farming ever since his childhood. He raised his four children on the farm. He loved farming, but his family was even more important to him. He enjoyed the time spent together. He loved the Packers, basketball, playing cards and really all sports. He loved the many trips spent with their special family, Dave and BeBe Rader-macher, and all their special traveling friends. Lambie loved growing pumpkins and not just any pumpkins, but huge 300- to 400-pound pumpkins.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann; his children, Kenneth (Pat) of Slinger, Jim (Gail) of West Bend, Tom (Beth) of Slinger and JoAnn Enders (special friend Jeff) of Lomira; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Craig), Chris (Jen-ny), Sherry (Brian), Brian (Heather), Adam, Amanda (Adam), Melissa and Peter; his great grandchildren, Made-line, Anna Belle, Calysta, Clayton, Samantha and Alex-ander; his sisters, Sylveria Infalt of Hartford, Virginia (Art) Fehring of Hartford and Pearl Black of Sun Lakes, Ariz. Lambie is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty (Hubert) Doll, and his brothers-in-law, Clemens Infalt and Fred Black.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Fr. Joseph Dominic officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church, with Mass to follow at 7 p.m.
Interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Wednesday, July 15, at 10 a.m.
