Ruth A. Muckerheide, 81
Ruth A. Muckerheide, (nee Hatzung), 81, of West Bend, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009, at Kathy Hospice.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1927 on the family farm in the town of Addison to the late Louis and Anna Hatzung. Ruth graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1945. She married Leroy Muckerheide on Oct. 8, 1949, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Ruth was a life member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. She worked for the West Bend Co. for 35 years and was a member of their 25-year club before retiring in 1983. Ruth enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She loved to spend winters in California and time up North at the cabin.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy; sister, Mardell Watzlawick of West Bend; brother-in-law Leander Will-komm of West Bend; sister-in-law Marion Muckerheide of Kewaskum; her special niece Sheila (Dennis) Stahnke of West Bend; two nieces, Janyce Weaver of McFarland and Lori (Daniel) Montaine of Grafton; three nephews, Ken-neth (Dorothy) Willkomm of Rochester, Minn., Robert (Gayle) Will-komm of New Berlin and Alan Willkomm of Rockford, Ill.; great niece and great nephew, Melissa and Ryan Stahnke; other relatives and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice Willkomm and Esther David; brother Arthur Hatzung and nephew Thomas Watzlawick.
Funeral services in remembrance of Ruth will be held on Monday, July 20, at noon at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave., West Bend. The Rev. Jeff Dorth and the Rev. Rob Donaldson will co-officiate. Entombment will follow the service in Washington County Memorial Park.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 19, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend, from 1 to 4 p.m. and again at the church on Monday, July 20, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
