Jack Edward Fetzer

Jack Edward Fetzer, 4, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009, at St. Maryís Hospital.

He was born on April 15, 2005, in Madison, the son of Mark and Kimberly (nee Coutley) Fetzer. Jack loved to play video games, especially the Wii. He also loved playing with his matchbox cars, being outdoors driving his jeep and the freedom that his jeep provided. Jack enjoyed being the center of attention when he had a crowd. He loved to "help" his mom in the kitchen. His dad was just starting to teach Jack the love of baseball. But most of all, Jack thought his dadís squad car was cool!

Jack is survived by his parents, Mark and Kimberly Fetzer; brother, Lucas; favorite pet cat, Chip; maternal grandpa, James (Barbara) Coutley of Leesburg, Fla.; paternal grandma, Cheryl Fetzer of Neenah; maternal great-grandma, Joyce Megna of Weirsdale, Fla.; five aunts and uncles, Michelle (David) Brouillette, Kristine Fetzer, Karen (David) Halle, Jennifer Coutley and Eric (Marnie) Fetzer; eight cousins and best buds, Ben, Ethan, Abby, Chase, Jamie, Lizzy, Olivia and Owen; many special family members and friends; and Jackís extended family, Machelle Nemitz and Monica Davis, who were more than just daycare providers.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandma, Angie Coutley; paternal grandpa, Edward Fetzer; and his dog, Onyx.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Cottage Grove EMTís and everyone at St. Maryís Hospital, especially those on the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

A celebration of Jackís life will be held at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, with the Rev. James L. Taylor presiding. Burial will follow at Cottage Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home, on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be determined.

What we will miss most is cuddling with our loveable Jack.
