Phyllis Arlene Lindberg
Phyllis Arlene Lindberg, 79, of Ogema Township, Prentice, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phippips on Tuesday, June 2, 2009.
She was born in Prentice on May 25, 1930, the daughter of Francis and Tillie (pearson) Miller. As a young girl she moved to Milwaukee with her family. She was a 1948 graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. She was married to Donald Lindberg in Milwaukee on May 14, 1955. She was employed by M&I Bank and then later by the Bank of Jackson in Jackson until the time of her retirement in 1985. She and Don made their home in Prentice following their retirement. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Ogema. In her free time she enjoyed spending time outdoors, was involved with her church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; five children, John (Lynn) of Waukesha, Glenn (Jeanne) of Cedarburg, Jayne (Paul) Bodenbach of Union, Ky., Keith (Mary) of West Bend and Patti (Dan) Rathke of Jackson; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson; one sister, Rena Willett of Prentice; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009, at the First Lutheran Church in Ogema with the Rev. Rovert Giese officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in the town of Hill. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established.
