Stanley Plaskey, 64, of Hartford, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009, at his residence.
Stanley was born March 6, 1945, in Bloomer, to Julius and Helen (nee Staudenmaier) Plaskey.
Stanley worked for Wagner Construction for many years. He loved fishing, gardening, cooking and baking. Stanley enjoyed NASCAR and loved Harley motorcycles. He worked for Wayne Erickson as a pit boss at the Slinger Speedway.
He is survived by his children, Barb (Shawn) Heule of Minnesota, Rhonda (Chris) Kleinbeck of Sarona, Travis (Tracy) Plaskey of Saukville; his grandchildren, Shawn, Nick, Jeremy, Mandi, Misty, Skyler, Grace and Hunter; four great-grandchildren, Shawna, Tatum, Trey and Blaise; his brothers and sisters, Betty Gruel of Theresa, Thomas Plaskey of Horicon, Frances (Karl) Milton of Waterloo, Delores Plaskey of Xonia, Louise Plaskey and Bernard (Ann) Plaskey, both of West Bend.
Stanley is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Eileen (Delbert) Nyhouse; his brother-in-law, Chester Gruel; his niece, Kelly Plaskey, and nephew, Vincent Gruel.
Funeral services for Stanley will be held Friday, June 5, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street, Hartford, with the Rev. David LaPlante officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
