Ralph G. Swatek
Ralph G. Swatek of Cedarburg passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday June 2, 2009, at the age of 82.
Ralph was born in Port Washington on Oct. 17, 1926 to Joseph and Esther (nee Retzer) Swatek and married Phyllis (nee Poull) on June 30, 1951 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington.
Ralph was an active member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, he was the past president of the Milwaukee Ski Club, he was a 1951 graduate of Marquette University and attended Gonzaga University for two years. He was the former regional sales manager of Gorman-Rupp Industries, Bellville, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of Cedarburg; children, Peter (the late Ann) of Grafton, JoAnn (Bill) Horton of Marshfield, Thomas (Cathy) of Lyndon Station and Christine (Rich) Mitkey of Cedarburg; grandchildren, Bill Swatek of Grafton, Elizabeth, Sarah and Francis Horton of Marshfield, Alysa and Stacey Swatek of Lyndon Station, Stuart and Lena Mitkey of Cedarburg; brothers, Lyle (Dottie) Swatek of Burlington and Paul (Nancy) Swatek of Lake Geneva; brother-in-law, Allie Eischen of Newburg; sisters-in-law, Lillian Swatek of Port Washington, Shirley (Joe) Greiveldinger of Port Washington and LuCele Sabel of Arizona City, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son James; daughter-in-law Ann Swatek; brothers Howard, Donald, James and Fred Swatek; and a sister, Ruth Eischen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 6, 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
