Adoree Brunner

Adoree Brunner (nee Roberts), 81, of Hartford, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Hartford Care Center.

Adoree was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 24, 1928, to Vernon and Rose (nee Eisert) Roberts. She was united in marriage to Galen Brunner on June 29, 1948, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.

Adoree owned and operated Adoree’s Gallery for 11 years. She enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, bowling and golfing.

She is survived by her children, Lee (Peggy) of Pennsylvania, Gail Tomich of Madison, Michael and Peter (Star) of Hartford; 13 grandchildren, Emily (Jose), Bill (Jackie), Sam (Jen), Joe, Steve (Emily), Angela, Daniel, Rebecca, Sarah, Elizabeth, Alicia, Sunshine and Carlos; 10 great-grandchildren, Amanda, Dave, Alex, Frank, Hoyt, Cameron, Luca, Elliott, Rios and Roman; her brothers and sisters, Vernon Roberts of Medford, Lavern Borchert of Merton, Dolores (Alvin) Sova of Medford, Wesley (Marilyn) Roberts of Florida, Donald (Connie) Roberts of California, Gary (Lois) Roberts of Shawano and Virgily (Ronald) Dax of Two Rivers; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, LuAnn (Don) Mueller of Medford, Jean (Richard) Hamrich of Milwaukee, John "Jack" Brunner of Tulsa, Okla., Carol Strebig of Stetsonville, James Brunner of Oak Grove and Ray Boxrucker of Medford. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Galen; brother, Clifford Roberts; sister-in-law, Rita Roberts, and brother-in-law, Fred Borchert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Hill, St. Therese Chapel with the Rev. Fred Alexander officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, June 14, 2009, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford. A prayer vigil will be held at 5 p.m. Inurnment along with her husband, Galen, will be at Holy Rosary Mission Cemetery in the town of Molitor.
