James H. Parson, 78
James H. Parson of West Bend passed away
Monday, June 22, 2009 at St. Joseph Community Hospital in West Bend at the
age of 78 years.
He was born on July 25, 1930 in Shawano to Harvey and Clara (nee Dobbs)
Parson. After his schooling, Jim entered the US Army and served in Germany
at the close of WWII and the Korean Conflict. On June 26, 1954 he married
Mildred E. Logemann in West Allis.
Jim worked for 37 years as an Underground Rural Distribution Installer for
the Wisconsin Electric Co. He also enjoyed beekeeping and was known as the
Honey Man. Jim also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 55 years Mildred, his loving
children Clarice Parson, James Jr. (Karen), Valerie (David) Hare, Yvonne
(Tom) Weninger and Cheryl Parson. He was the proud grandfather of James
III, Sarah, Daniel, Rachel, Johnathan, Kiersten, and three great
grandsons. He is further survived by his brothers Gerald (Vi), Donald (Melva)
sister Karen Ann (Chuck) Arvelo, nieces nephews other relatives and
friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Jean
Bitters, and brother-in-law Byron Bitters, two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service for James will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 25
at New Hope United Church of Christ, 4360 Jackson Drive Jackson with Rev.
Dr. John Mackett officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 25 from 3
p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m.
