Carol L. Brabender

Carol L. Brabender (nee Ihde), 68, of West Bend passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa . She was born Aug. 24, 1940 in Milwaukee to the late Adelbert and Dorothy (nee Neumann) Ihde and married Ronald H. Brabender on Oct. 28, 1961 in Milwaukee .

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Ron, three daughters: Lori (Tom) Snider of Aurora, Colo., Gail (Roger) Thiel of Wrightstown, Wis. . and Debbie (Rev. Steve) Kline of Greenleaf, Wis. ; and six grandchildren: Jack and Sam Snider, Grant and Trent Thiel, and Erin and Andy Kline. She is further survived by her sister Karen (David) Crawford of Wheaton, Ill. and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Adelbert and Dorothy Ihde and her brother Richard Ihde.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend with the Rev. Jeff Dorth officiating. Internment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington. Visitation will be Monday, at the church only from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. John’s Lutheran School are appreciated.
