Arvilla Beth Haradon Mueller, 86
Arvilla Beth Haradon Mueller, 86, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday,
June 11, 2009, at Cedar Community.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1922 in Park Rapids, Minn., to Jesse Daniel
Haradon and Ruth Edith Erikson. She married Gordon Roscoe Mueller on May
7, 1944 in Omaha, Neb., and the couple made their first home in the
Panama Canal Zone where Gordon worked repairing ships for the Navy
during World War II.
The couple then settled in the Milwaukee area, moving to Cedarburg in
1961 and to West Bend in 1996. Arvilla worked as a homemaker, but also
was a founding charter member of Ozaukee Baptist Church in 1961 and
active member for over 40 years. She also was part owner of a Christian
Bookstore in Cedarburg from 1973 to 1981.
Arvilla will be remembered for her love and dedication to God and her
family.
Arvilla is survived by her four children, Eugene (Verla) Mueller,
Cynthia (Jerry) Brunell and Marcia Knippel, all of Cedarburg and Timothy
(Laura) Mueller of Woodbury, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Deanna (Ron)
Rosenberger, Lanora (Nolan) Hurley, Sharon (Jason) Trompeter, Veronica
(Jeremy) Woods, Matthew Brunell, Jeffery Knippel, Jody (Jason) Lindsley,
Emily and Thomas Mueller; eight great grandchildren: Elena Hurley,
Katherine Rosenberger, Hailey and Miles Trompeter, Isaac and Evan Woods,
Alex and Vanessa Lindsley.
Preceding Arvilla in death were her parents, her husband, and two
half-siblings, Horace and Florence Haradon.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at Emmaus
Bible Church of West Bend, 220 N. 6th Ave., with Pastor James Taylor
officiating. Visitation was at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of
the service. Memorials are appreciated to Cedar Community Foundation.
