Robert J. Jost, 67, of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Deerview Meadows Assisted Living in Hartford.

Bob was born April 8, 1941, in Milwaukee to Arnold and Marian (nee Felton) Jost. He was united in marriage to Shirley Karls on Sept. 10, 1966, at Holy Trinity in Jericho.

Bob owned and operated the B&S Liquor store in Hartford for 25 years. He enjoyed golfing, spending time up north in the woods and especially loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Hartford Lions Club, the American Legion and St. Kilian Catholic Church.

Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley; his children, Lisa (Curt) Buchmann of Rubicon and Steven (fiancé Jessica) of Hartford; his grandchildren, Briana, Ashley and Tanner; his mother Marian Jost of Fond du Lac; his brothers Tom (Marcie) and John (Donna) Jost; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Don (friend Elaine) Karls of Chilton, Doris (Art) Moehn of Hilbert, Ken (Judy) and Gary (Jan) Karls of Chilton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold, his mother- and father-in law, Norman and Hilda Karls, and his sister-in-law, Judy Karls.

A memorial funeral service will be held Sunday, March 15, 2009, at 4 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State Street, Hartford, with the Rev. David LaPlante officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hartford Police Department, Hartford Fire Department or St. Kilian School, or wishes of the family, are appreciated.
