Leo R. Rossow
Leo R. Rossow of Horicon passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Angels Grace Hospice in
Oconomowoc, at the age of 80.
He was born in Lakefield, Minn., on April 22, 1928, the son of Fred G. and
Marie (nee Malchow) Rossow.
After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he moved from Houston, Texas,
to New Jersey, while employed by the Grolier Corporation as an executive
for 23 years. Later moving back to Texas, he spent many years in the
Houston area as an entrepreneur starting different businesses before
moving to Hartford, and opening the Milstream Inn. He later retired to the
Horicon area.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Luther Rossow. He
is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Marina Rossow of
Houston, and his daughter Michele Thieman of Oconomowoc, as well as his
granddaughter Jennifer Thompson and great-granddaughters, Emma and Makayla
Matte.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Michele’s home on
Sunday, March 15, 2009, from 3 to 5 p.m. The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home
