Elizabeth J. "Betty" Boose
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Boose (nee Krueger), 85, of West Bend, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1923, to William and Mary (nee Calvey) Krueger in Batavia and raised on the family farm. Betty married Lester Uelmen on Oct. 12, 1940. He was killed in the line of duty in World War II. She later married Lawrence Wiesner on Sept. 15, 1949, and together raised two sons. After divorcing Lawrence, Betty married Raymond J. Boose on Nov. 27, 1969.
Betty enjoyed her job as a special needs driver for Johnson Bus Co. She loved the Packers, life in general and especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children, Gary of West Bend, Gregory (Dawn) of West Bend. She is further survived by two grandchildren, Corey and Chad; brother William (Helen) Krueger, sister-in-law Marcella Oppermann; special friend, Edgar Weiss; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, brother Ruben Krueger, sisters Mildred Heberer and Bernice Fellenz-Dreher, brothers-in-law John Heberer, Gregory Fellenz and Marlin Dreher.
A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Chaplain Cheryl Matusiak officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 1 from 4 p.m. until the time of the service (7 p.m.). Memorials to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin are appreciated.
