‘Eddie’ Scheer Edward “Eddie” Scheer of Cedarburg passed away peacefully Friday, May 15, 2009, at the age of 84 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee in Mequon. Eddie was born in Cedarburg on Feb. 2, 1925 to Edwin and Henrietta (nee Bruss) Scheer and married Audrey (nee Schulze) on May 13, 1950 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Eddie was a longtime active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. He also was a member of the American Legion Peter Wollner Post 288 since 1946 and a member of the Cedarburg Fire Department since 1950. He is survived by his children, Jean (Dave) Mueller of Grafton, Karen (Terry) Kroening of Cedarburg, Gary (Sue) of West Bend and Keith of Grafton; grandchildren; Eric (Michelle) Mueller of Sheboygan, Ryan (Christi) Mueller of West Bend, Chad (Bridget) Kroening of Cedarburg, Jessica Kroening of Appleton, Shelley (Kevin) Hyde of West Bend, Shaun Scheer of Slinger and Sarah Scheer of Cedarburg; great- grandchildren, Jonah, Isabel and Annie Mueller and Lindsey Kroening; one brother-in-law, Howard Schulze. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Audrey and one sister, Edna “Bunny” Scheer. Funeral services will be held today, May 19, at 7 p.m. at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd., Cedarburg. Interment will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials to the church or Ozaukee County Stars and Stripes Honor Program are appreciated.
