Frances Elara Deer

Frances Elara Deer (nee Russell) of West Bend, passed away May 6, 2009, at the age of 83 years, but she lives on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1926, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Robert and Lottie (nee Essex) Russell.

Frances is survived by her beloved husband, Henry Deer; her children, Ralph (Sharon) Deer, Sharon (Charles) Gromacki, Randy (Carol) Deer, Tom Deer and Cynthia (Dennis) Roddy. Also survived by her grandchildren, Susan (Rick) Kuehn, Daniel Henner, David (Kelly) Gromacki, Michele (Bill) Wilkin, Michael (Lisa) Gromacki, Lisa (Mike) Magurany, Shawn (Carly) Deer, Amanda (Jay) Stys, Erin Roddy, Adam Deer, Ryan (Kristin) Roddy; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Olivia Gromacki, Jacob, Ben and Andrew Wilkin, Alexandra, Gabrielle and Victoria Gromacki, Riley and Ellison Magurany, Mia and Aidan Roddy and Tyler Henry Deer; nieces, Lynda Fisher, Darla, Sheryl and Vicki Deer; nephews, Les, Lym and Lee Russell; her sister, Charlotte Keyser; brother, Labon Tatum; sister-in-law, Shirley Deer; other beloved relatives and friends. Frances is preceded in death by her sister, Bessie Rhea; brother, Harold Russell, and daughter-in-law, Constance Beck-Deer.

Frances was a member of Immanuel UCC Church in West Bend and a member of the Red Hat Society.

A memorial service for Frances will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Immanuel UCC Church, 501 W. Walnut St., West Bend, with the Rev. Rich Vincent officiating. Memorials are appreciated to Cedar Community Hospice.
