Melvin J. Roethle, 66

Melvin J. Roethle, 66, of Hartford , passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at his residence.

Melvin was born March 1, 1943, in Hartford to Norbert and Marcella (nee Gehl) Roethle.

Melvin was a truck driver hauling milk. He enjoyed gardening and tending to his rose bushes. Melvin loved the outdoors, fishing and was an avid Brewer fan. He was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church.

Melvin is survived by his children, Dennis (fiance Brenda) Roethle of West Bend, Monica (Darrin) Rakowski and Tina (Bryan) Wery both of Hustisford; his grandchildren, Dylan, Christina, Daniel, Sean, Courtney, Trisha and Nicholas; his great-grandchild, Ayden; his mother, Marcella Roethle of Rubicon; his brothers and sisters, Leroy (Deborah), Rita (Bob) Gehring, Clarence (Sue), Carl (Linda), all of Rubicon, Paul (Kathy), Janet (Jeff) Rettler both of Hartford, Barbara (Perry) Justman of Mayville, Phyllis (friend Francis) Merkes of Woodland, Kenneth of Rubicon, Jerome of Slinger and Denise (Henry) Becker of Hartford. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norbert; son, Brian; sister, Sharon, and brother, Albert.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 7 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State St. , Hartford , with the Rev. David LaPlante officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church.

Interment at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford .
