William J. "Clock" Klein
William J. "Clock" Klein, 85, of Hartford, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Kathy Hospice.
William was born on April 21, 1924, in Arkansaw, to Nicholas and Rose (nee Hoffman) Klein. He married Bethel (nee DeMarce) on Nov. 4, 1944, in Seaside, Ore. They moved to Hubertus where they lived all their life. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy in the Phillipines. He worked as a carpenter most of his life. William was a member of the American Legion Post 522 of Bark Lake and a member of St. Mary of the Hill Parish.
William is survived by his wife, Bethel; children, Reanary (Cecil) Becker of Jordan, Minn., Timothy (Sharon) Klein of Oconomowoc, Bruce (Dorothy) of Westfield, and Keith (Kelly) of Hartford. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Allen (Carol) Becker of Hudson, Lisa Becker of Dallas, Texas, David (Cindy) Becker of Belle Plaine, Minn., Todd Klein of San Diego, Calif., Brian Klein of Seal Beach, Calif., Richard (Samantha) Carter of Pardeeville, Kelsy (Daniel) Laing of Hartford, and Kyle Klein of Hartford; great-grandchildren Zachary, Bailey, Madalynn, Brooks, Karlee and Alexander; brother, Bernard (Carol) Klein of Twin Cities, Minn.; sister Rose "Tutti" Unser of Plum City; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Nicholas, and seven brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 1, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Therese Chapel/Holy Hill (lower level) with the Rev. Fred Alexander, OCD, officiating. Interment will take place on Monday, June 1, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Cemetery of Hubertus. Visitation will be at the church only on Monday, June 1, from 8 am until time of Mass.
